  1.  What age did you start gymnastics?

    Two


2. How did you start in gymnastics?

Mommy and me classes


3. How did you deal with mental blocks?:

1.) never give up

2.) drills drills drills

3.) learn to trust myself and my abilities


4.  Who was your role model/someone you looked up to in the sport?:

Shayla Scott, my club gymnastics coach


5. What was your hardest struggle during your time as a gymnast?

battling injuries


6. How do you handle nerves when you are competing?:

1.) pray

2.) breathing exercises

3.) positive self talk


 7. What was your biggest accomplishment in gymnastics?

Level 7 regional vault champion Level 9 Texas state champion Competing as an collegiate gymnast (WSU Gymnastics) Scoring a 9.875 in Level 9 on vault and competed through USAG level 10


8. What did you do after you were done competing? did you stay involved or did you do something totally different?

I have a BSN (ER nurse) and I still coach gymnastics at my club gym (AC Gymnastics)


9. What would people need to know if you are starting the sport for the first time?

You will push yourself harder than you ever thought possible and surprise yourself with what you are capable of doing, constantly It’s going to be hard, but nothing worthwhile is easy (;


10. What is your favorite meet?

College meets were so much fun and I loved the camaraderie and support that I felt being on a collegiate team.


11. How did you handle pressure form peers/coaches/fans?

Focused on myself and my gymnastics, knowing that everything else would fall into place.


12.  How do you overcome setbacks and challenges?

1.) trust in the Lord

2.) trust in myself


13. Did college gymnastics ever cross your mind as something you wanted to do?

Yes, I decided that I wanted to be a college gymnast when I was 12 years old, competing level 4 (USAG Gymnastics)


14. Least favorite event and favorite event? And Why?

Bars was my favorite but I love all four events.


15. Hardest and easiest gymnastics skill to train?

The hardest skill I trained was a hindorff on bars, no gymnastics skills are easy.


16. How did/do you deal with getting in your head on skills?

Same things mentioned above.


17. How did you stay out of your head at practice and at meet?

Same things mentioned above


18. Have any of you got a skill for a few weeks on any event and then a week or to later you just cant :do that skills?

Take a step back, and drill the skill


19. How did you cope when your time as a gymnast was over? Did you go into coaching or did you find soemthing else?

Coaching gymnastics and staying active


20. Advice you would give to current or people who want to start in the sport?

Believe in yourself!
